I've been wearing a mask for two years, and last week, BAM! My wife got it first; I thought seasonal allergies until I took an at-home test. Vaxxed and boosted, so I feel fine. All counties in CT are now considered high risk, with the daily positivity rate at 11%. I look at it as an additional booster, so I should be good for now.

School went mask optional. A good 90 percent still wear them but more teachers have taken them off than students (percentage). We’re having an uptick in the county and our health official said masks should return in doors (by choice not mandate). So I’m keeping mine on in my room for the rest of the year. Just not going to mess with it.

Just got out of the store where the cashier was saying she’s keeping here’s on because she’s seeing more people get it. She also told her daughter she is keeping hers on in school. Daughter said it was by discretion. Mom said yeah my discretion. I could have given her a hug.

Who's ready for a slice of Southern-fried Pi?

It's coming ... probably in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Office is reinstating the mask mandate. Sigh.

Just tried to schedule a second. Ineligible. I’m not going to stop going out and enjoying life, because the world is fucking crumbling anyway, and if I somehow get a severe case after three shots, that’s the world telling me to fuck off and die. Call me nihilist arby’s but that’s how I feel.

Same. I'm eligible. I'll go get it instead of waiting until the fall as previously planned. I'm double-shot and once-boosted. And got a mild case of COVID. And not changing how I'm going out. Have a mask at the ready if it's requested. Otherwise, F-it. I've been through enough the past five years.

My recent blood donation came back "Reactive Plus" - anyone know if a positive antibody test is from being vaccinated (and boosted) or does that mean I've had COVID, and just not realized it? Or both?

I guess it's "good news" in either event.

I apologize for my ignorance and I have tried to Google for the answer. But what is the Pi reference about?

The name of the next variant. Delta, Omicron, Pi.
