Wild were up 2-1 in the series and are gonna be going home in six. Basically pushed every wrong button in the last two games. This Blues team will be lucky to see a Game 5 vs. Colorado.

How about ESPN using Andrew WK “Party Hard” in one of their commercials?
    Very cool

Just saw that he wasn’t at the morning skate. It’s pretty clear he has a concussion.
Oh well. If you can’t beat them, go head hunting. The garage league allows it. I guess the Rangers found a way to the second round after all.

    Makes perfect sense to me.

I'm not anti-Leafs team so much as just got sick and tired of having the franchise forced down my throat back in the day when NHL Network aired "Hockey Central at Noon" from, what, TSN? The program dropped Kypreos and MacLean for some younger guys talking (seemingly) non-stop about the Leafs. Even before his ouster, MacLean was make quips about bosses behind the scenes wanting him to talk more about Toronto. Just turned me off.

    +1.

I think Colorado will win but if the St. Louis pp and pk stay solid, the Blues have more than a puncher's chance. Don't know what Krug's status is for the second round but against Minnesota, Berube did a terrific job of mixing and matching his D-corps due to injuries. Offensively, this St. Louis team has more fire power than the one that won the Cup, though Robert Thomas needs to get going. I will also take the Blues goaltending tandem over that of Colorado.

Pens fans loved Matt Cooke and Lemieux paid Matt Cooke. Pens fans can STFU.

I never loved Matt Cooke, but go on and make things up. It is the sort of thing I would expect from you.

The NHL has allowed this crap for decades. That is where the "garage league" comment originated. The bottom line is this series was nearly over. The Penguins had the Rangers beaten, so they went head-hunting until they managed to take one of Pittsburgh's stars out. The result is we've got a high-profile series going forward without its biggest star and it will be decided by which team can do a better job of playing like old-style goons rather than strategy or skill.

Of course, you will argue any point I make because you have this sad little obsession with me, but anybody who actually understands the history of the game knows I'm right. They know the Rangers could see head hunting as a viable desperation play because the league has chosen to let that crap go for decades, all the way back to Adam Graves taking Mario Lemieux out of a playoff series 30 years ago with a slash to the wrist. Hopefully, I'm wrong and this Penguins team will do what that one did and win anyway, but I don't think it is going to happen. The Penguins' momentum is gone and they needed to dominate everywhere else to cover for the Rangers' advantage in goal. They can't do that without Crosby.

What else do you call it when a player is throwing elbows at the heads of opposing players?
