Because you don’t watch hockey. You don’t have a clue what you’re talking about.

I've watched enough over the years to realize that the NHL doesn't properly address illegal hits that endanger the health of its athletes. It has been that way for decades. It has changed some, but not nearly enough. I don't have to see every hit to know that. It invites teams to go headhunting when they are desperate. They know there is a good chance the league will let them get away with it.

I know you pride yourself on being some sort of expert, but then I read your posts and realize that couldn't be farther from the truth. It doesn't matter how much hockey you watch if you lack the capacity to properly analyze what you are seeing. I'm truly sorry for you that you don't even understand what is right in front of you.

I will admit one error. Responding to your Forrest idiocy with Bubba wasn't right. Montag is a better fit. Steal all the books you like. They are still mud to you and you know it.

Elliotte didn't take it far enough. Trouba didn't go in to elbow Crosby, but BECAUSE Crosby moved, he had to bring the elbow up to check him. Bieksa botched this, too, for the same reason. Trouba wasn't going to lead with the elbow, but once Crosby moved, Trouba had to. Again, there are elbowing penalties. There are no penalties for moving to avoid a check.

Another thing, just to keep JC from sinking back into the woodwork, the NHL's decision benefited the Rangers. Just like the draft lottery, just like the expanded Covid playoffs. Don't forget, I predicted those BEFORE they happened.

Parros was a favorite as a Duck. He has been awful at commissar of punishment.

The Rangers were kaput in those expanded COVID playoffs in less than a week.

    Ugh.

You know, the thing about this year's Leafs Failure was that there was nothing tragic about it.

It basically came down to that they had to play the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions in the first round and they unilaterally decided they didn't want to be eliminated.

I find it very depressing I am old enough to remember when the Leafs won the Stanley Cup. But thankfully I am not old enough to remember when the Lions last won a championship.

At least they'll have plenty of time to perfect that parade route down Yonge Street.
