I agree. It isn’t completely out of nowhere, but it is sudden.

My wife went to school with John Krasinski and I knew he was going to be a certain Marvel character, but I didn’t know he was going to be in this. My father-in-law saw it today with my nephew and came over my house after and said, “Hey Jess, Krasinski was in the movie!” ‍♂️

Hey, that means she went to school with Andy Greenwald of "The Watch" podcast too, then! ;) And yeah, it was really fun to see him in this, for roughly three scenes. Him as Richards is pretty spot-on casting, although I realize he might not actually be signed on to the role for more than cameos here and there.

I certainly hope he continues to play the role. My daughter is going to love and hate this when she sees the movie. She is a big fan of his. They have announced that an FF movie is coming. I certainly hope he is Reed Richards in that one as well. Of course, I hope that isn't all we get of Captain Carter, too. I did think putting Xavier in the hoverchair and the music they used when he showed up were both nice touches, too. The chair was in the trailer, but the music added to the fun of the moment.

If they’re there, then they’re probably here.

They just might not really be them, yet.

That's probably going to be the trick, explaining why they haven't shown up yet.

It was hinted at in WandaVision though, right? I seem to recall someone making a phone call to that person.

That was speculation, but someone else showed up in response to that call.

I'm not sure what to think. The CGI doesn't look great, but there have been trailers that had unfinished CGI before. I have always liked the character and I think they chose a great actress to play her, so hopefully, they get this right.

I think the show itself is dynamite - if you're gonna have a ton of Marvel shows, let's get weird with some of them! I'm kind of surprised that Maslany hasn't become a huge star, but after Orphan Black, she got decent reviews for Stronger and Perry Mason - not duds, but not big hits. I think she's perfect casting for Marvel.

Maslany is perfect for the role. She can be both tough and quirky. In a sense, Orphan Black demonstrated some of the skills she will need because she played a variety of characters with the same face. Jennifer Walters is supposed to act differently when she is in her human form than how she is as She-Hulk, though not as drastic a difference as her more famous cousin. She is supposed to be more confident, especially with men, something they seem to be showing at the end of the trailer. This should be very different from the other MCU shows so far, and I agree that is a good thing.

New 'Daredevil' Series in the Works at Disney+

This needed to happen. Now they have to incorporate some version of the Kingpin's fate from the comics into the MCU version of the character and bring in a version of The Punisher that Jon Bernthal is willing to play.
