    The world needs hangers-ons, too.

He can go 36 and that's it. No way he comes to the Country Club. I imagine he'll go to St. Andrews and that's where he'll announce his retirement.

Tough to be competitive without playing tournaments or practicing regularly in between the majors. Some ego at work there.

The fact he made the cut at Augusta and Southern Hills was impressive.

But it was damn cold today. And it could be warm at Brookline, but likely won't be at St. Andrews.

He’s still having a better week than Mickelson

Unless Mickelson bet a bundle on Early Voting.

Tiger's legacy is obviously fine and all that, but a first WD from a major as a pro is a little sad. If he gutted out, say, a 70 today and had an 11 a.m. tee time tomorrow and not the 8 a.m. that he was going to have, does he play? And then shoot 79 because he's so worn out? Just not really seeing a point to this kind of approach.

He was tied for DFL. Would have gone out at 7:09 a.m. And looking at it, he would not have been the first player off with a marker. But it was close. How would that have played?

He had to get up at 3 a.m. to get his body moving for today’s tee time.

Of course. It didn't make sense to play. But is this going to be the m.o. going forward? He clearly can make the cut in majors but he's going to have a lot more Sundays where he starts closer to last than first. What's the cutoff to play or bag it?

    Well, that's up to him.
And we're all kinda forgetting he's still in the physical healing process.

I think if he really believes he has no shot to compete, he'll chuck it.

He’s about 18 months post injury. At his age, there isn’t a lot of healing left.

He’s not looking anything like a 72 hole golfer now, and I doubt he will be again. He ran out of juice in Augusta and now Tulsa. The Open will be the easiest major, from a physical perspective. If he struggles there, it will be telling.
