Other than Kate's farewell, the monologue and the 9 to 5 parody, it was kind of a pedestrian episode to me -- a tad of a letdown for a finale.

Didn’t care for this show that much (kind of a classic “written for the writers” episode) but season finales always kind of serve as a stark reminder. Next time you see a new show, leaves will be changing and we’ll be three weeks into football season.

Now ... did Natasha Lyonne as the Yankees announcer call to mind a rather famous SJ.com post about Vin Scully?

How could they have not found time for this?

Wow - that's pretty great, haha, plus they got a cameo from Eminem! Only can think of two reasons why they cut that, of all things: 1) The CGI work on Lorne's head is pretty rough, kind of reminiscent of the fake holiday card stuff your aunt sends you and 2) maybe they didn't want to undercut Pete's "Weekend Update" segment, which was more heartfelt and just as funny.

At least Mooney got equal treatment in that video.

As long as I live, I’ll never understand how the hell Pete Davidson even got on SNL. I’m not sure he ever made me laugh even once. Comedy is subjective, of course…

That was smart and funny. Why leave that off?

Chloe Fineman is another SNL cast member that has literally never made me laugh. And I go into every SNL episode WANTING to laugh. Maybe I’m just aging out of their prime demo…
