Ken Kal's a pro and seems to be a nice guy, even if his goal call leads me to believe he skipped puberty. And I often refer to his partner as Paul Uh Woods given the number of pauses he takes in the middle of one sentence.

I listen to a lot of games late when driving home, and unsurprisingly, the Canadian crews rarely disappoint. I think Calgary might be my favorite.

My least favorite is probably Tampa. I'm not entirely sure if a game is on sometimes or if they just put a microphone in front of Esposito and let him bitch about whatever he's thinking about. Makes Don Cherry sound coherent.

Bruce was a true gentleman
He lived in Gaylord, which is about four hours up I-75 and about an hour south of the Mackinac Bridge
He would drive down and back for every home game

 

I'm a Rams fans and it was about the fifth time I saw that before I realized it is Stafford. I don't know if that says more about him or me.

It may not be every day or even every other day that you provide great Detroit and Michigan nuggets like this, but you do often enough I've started to look forward to them. Very much enjoy when you post such historical insights.

 

About the 10th time it came on, my wife turned to me and asked if she was supposed to know who that is, and what the story on it is.

Cute idea for a commercial, I guess, but I wonder what percent of viewers have zero idea what the joke is.
