In mid-March of last year, I got an e-mail from my supervisor saying something to the effect of "You will be receiving a $450 bonus in your next paycheck. There is a reason we depend on you to handle our big papers when they have late NFL games, etc. You are very valuable to us."

Two weeks later I was informed my job was one of 36 being outsourced to India.

    1. Her brand of politics will go over well in the People's Republic of Cambridge, West.
    2. The fact that one of the top papers in the country is taking a flyer on someone released by the Seattle Times just adds to the intrigue.
    3. I hope she enjoys living out of her car or on someone's couch.

Sure is weird how someone so difficult and annoying keeps getting gigs. [/blue font]

She could live on the other side of the Bay.

Even the East Bay is unaffordable now. She’ll be lucky to get an apartment in Vallejo

Congrats to her. I hope she thrives there and Chronicle with her.

I'm curious as to why now? Since the merger and throughout the Brian Wilson era in San Jose, the Chron's used Ross McKeon, first as a staffer and then a superstringer, to cover the team. It's going to be a rough couple of years in the Tank.

Simply spitballing here, but it sounds like she's doing three gigs (do more with less!) and might be doing the enterprise in lieu of traveling with such a dogass team.
