Yeah, that guy's been around for years. He'll get buried in November. This state elects Republican Governors, but only to pinch pennies. It's businessmen like Romney and Baker who are not trying to roll back anything or lead any crusades, just doing a competent job of keeping the lights on and the motor running.

 

It's going to take the DOJ to nail Meadows. They can go down other avenues to pursue charges for him that mean decades, not months, in jail.
Meadows will do a year but he won't do 20 for the Orangutan. He will gloriously crack.
Same for Bannon. That dude will spread his legs for mercy the minute they hold a lighter to his nuts.

 

Weld was in that mold as well. Those business Republicans used to be all over the Northeast, casualties of the culture wars.

 

Ages ago, Bill Maher used to say when he voted Republican it was because he wanted “a mean old man to watch my money.” It would be good for the GOP to return to that focus, instead of being a church synod with arrest powers.

 

As long as Maura Healey doesn’t pull a Martha Coakley, Diehl soon will have plenty of time to golf.
