It's correct and a little funny. קרי is more "happenstance / coincidence, but is used more commonly as a euphemism as the article notes. There are many people walking around with Hebrew tattoos that don't mean what I'm guessing they think they mean.

It's the NBA. Of course they will.

17 days to play seven games? Even with some cross-country trips involved, ridiculouos.

Been like that for many years, especially after they went back to the 2-2-1-1-1 format.

Meanwhile, some college baseball teams just played six games in five days.

They try to avoid bad TV nights as much as possible, too. Only one game on a Friday and one on a Monday. No Saturday night games.

    I liked the 2-3-2.

Avoid bad TV nights . . . but have the games end an hour after the EDT primetime window closes.

I liked 2-3-2 too. What I don't get is why they don't stick to continuity.

During the season they play back to back nights, and some times 4 games in 5 nights, no?

Should do the same thing in the Finals. Back to back 1 and 2 ... 2 days off ... back to back 3 and 4 ... day off ... game 5 ... day off ... 6 and 7 back to back.

The championship series should be a grueling war of attrition.

I liked the Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday schedule they used. The NBA hits Thursday and Sunday night.

I don't want back to backs. The players should be at their best, not nursing a sprain or getting over playing 30+ minutes the night before m

I don't disagree with this. I'm not a fan of either team, and I work most mornings by 7:30, so the chances of me casually hanging around watching until 11:30 or midnight on a weekday are nil.

They've tried really hard to eliminate the 4 in 5 as part of an incentive to avoid too many rest days for super stars. So that isn't really something you can just bring back for the finals.
