The only thing that is going to deny Colorado the cup will be how hard everyone is going to sell out on each possession and getting hurt. There's not a chance the Rangers or the Canes can stand up to this team, right?

Certainly not the Canes. Lightning, who knows?

Serves me right not, you know, thinking. I know it’s the Lightning, but why are the damn Canes in my head?

This has been a ridiculous run. I'm a pessimistic fan in general, but sheesh. They've only been outplayed in one game the whole playoffs. It's been amazing most of the games weren't just huge blowouts. A couple of blown leads have stunk but it has been a cruise to this point.

I'm sure an Eastern team can turn it into a dog fight so who knows there, but man.

I think back to all those great Avalanche teams of the late 90s and early 2000s and never was there a cakewalk even to the conference finals. They played to seventh games left and right (had two in the 2001 championship run). Watching with such near certainty they are going to win is crazy on my nervous sports watching self.

I probably jinxed it all, but this team is just crazy good.

Whichever team comes out of the East will be a much stronger side than anybody Colorado has played so far. The outcome there will depend on which goalie the Avs have in the net — and I hope it’s not Kuemper.
