The PGA Tour has/had a developmental circuit in China, it's been on hold since Covid.

Tried to watch the final round of the U.S. women’s open, but only the leader, Minjee Lee, played well, and after two holes it was clear no one would make a run at her. Lexi Thompson she is not.

Beautiful course, great playing by Lee to win her second major, but when it’s a runaway (men or women) it’s like watching paint dry.

Neither tournament had an ounce of suspense on Sunday. When Jim Nantz can't find a reasonable excuse to keep viewers tuned in, except to prop up the barely-warm corpse of Jack Nicklaus, you've got TV remotes clicking away by the thousands.

I have always felt this way, which is why I never understood why people said watching Tiger Woods win by 12 shots was must-see TV.

Minjee is very long for a short woman; 270 avg at 5’5”; inspiring plus just so smooth.

I’m tired of seeing so much Lexi when she’s 10 back. We’re fans of golfers not just American blondes.

Tiger was history. That’s why I watched.

Knowing what we know about Nicklaus now, I found the usual slurping of him gross.

The thing about Nicklaus is, he's a chatterbox. He can discourse at length (God, at length) on any golf-related topic and loves to do so. He was perfect to fill time on what was not a particularly suspenseful day of golf. Had the tournament been closer, CBS would have had him in the booth much less.

A friend follows golf on the weekends and texts me endlessly about good shots, bad shots, McIlroy wrapping his club around a tree, etc.
With his first text yesterday, I answered: Stanley Cup, Angels, UCLA baseball, UCLA softball are all on at the same time. Golf comes in fifth. I only have 2 eyes.
I didn't watch any golf Sunday (nor any softball) after watching quite a bit of golf on Saturday.

In a turn of events shocking to no one, Phil will tee it up in London this week.

Helps Mickelson that the British tabloids are a lot more docile than the fanboys with notebooks on this side of the ocean...........
