And then he will leave Seattle.

No doubt. Rodriguez has always hit. He has shown a good eye, power, and speed. He is already good. His current numbers don't do him justice. He struggled through April before batting .309 with a .339 on-base percentage and six home runs in May.

Coming in late on this, but thought it was worth repeating after they made Michael Wacha look like Greg Maddux: Dear Gawd Almighty, the Angels are ass.

It no longer seems like a matter of if the Angels will be no-hit/perfect gamed. but how many times they will be no-hit/perfect gamed.

Angels fire Joe Maddon, install Phil Nevin as interim manager, which seems like firing Patton and replacing him with Gomer Pyle.

Holy shit, what a fall from grace for Joe.

I've always been wary of the guy like Maddon who thinks he is the smartest person in the room.
Not a fan of Nevin, who comes off as a loose cannon. But he can be very persuasive.

Angels need some yellin' and hollerin' to wake 'em up till the next guy.

Introducing the Angels' new manager, Joe Torre.

It's a classic "replace the old guy with his polar opposite" move. Nevin's not going to walk around wearing funny T-shirts and blasting yacht rock from his office. He'll shake some shit up. Maybe it won't matter, because that team is awful outside of its superstars, but it's worth a shot.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic, but nothing's surprising after La Russa came back. Joe likes the money & Arte's got plenty of it. So I suppose there's a slim chance that La Russa (White Sox), Leyland (Phillies) and Torre (Angels) could all be managing next year. That'd be wild.
