Once again, imagine this was a crowd of armed BLM marchers or Black Panthers:

A thousand dead, 10,000 injured, probably 25,000 dragged off in cuffs.

    Bare minimum.

I've been following Winslow for ages, but all of sudden he has limited who can see his tweets and I'm not one of them. Anyone knows what happened?

Who has the more ridiculous signature? Christopher Miller or Madison Cawthorn? Or Trump?

Memo from SecDef to SecArmy dated Jan. 4 spelling out that he could not deploy the DC National Guard in support of law enforcement as a response to Jan. 6.

Should Biden Run in 2024? Democratic Whispers of ‘No’ Start to Rise.

Major concerns in enthusiasm gap. Which, makes sense. The Democratic Party used to be one of freedom - you could mostly say what you wanted, wear what you wanted, drive where you wanted to vacation how you wanted because you had a little money in your pocket, buy a reasonably nice house you could afford because, post New Deal, there was a middle class path to home ownership, send your kids to college where, it wasn’t Oxford or Harvard, and nor did it have to be and, unlike the late 1800s and early 1900s, the height of cultural sophistication wasn’t in some back patio of a European cafe, it was here, and Democrats celebrated that with Hollywood, good TV, even better music.

And a lot of that has changed. It’s now a party of mourning and grievance over multiple existential threats just around the corner and the unbearable weight of our past. Once a helpful respite from religion - a reminder of the separation of church and state - it’s now a kind of big-tent religion full of rules and reformations.

And yes indeed the Republicans are worse and perhaps have never been worse than they are right now. But they could win very big in November and whatever that seems to say about their supporters…it says something, too, about the party about to take heavy losses and its appeal to voters.

Didn’t Biden float the idea once upon a time — maybe when he was briefly considering a 2016 run — that he would only serve one term if elected?
