In the least surprising development of the week, CBS just had its rundown of the other tournaments going on this weekend and the LIV was omitted

At least Golf Channel has been talking about it, and put up the leaderboard.

... and how much did Brooks Koepka celebrate?

The LIV Tour also got Patrick Reed. Talk about addition by subtraction for the PGA Tour ...

At my outlet, these three days of LIV pageviews have beat our Masters coverage (with Tiger back!), PGA, everything.

People might say they hate it, don't care, that they're not watching (though it's a little unfair to judge because it's not a mainstream broadcast), but they're darn sure peeking.

What’s better Schwatzel or Rory v Finau?

Didn't watch a minute of LIV. No interest. Kind of like the November-December hit-and-giggle events. No pressure. It's all very contrived. I have other outlets for my time.

I tuned in for five minutes on the first day to see the car crash, then tuned out.

Are those players now no longer considered "great friends of golf?"

I have no problem with the LIVers competing in majors if they still have existing exemptions based on past performance in majors/exemptions. But I do think the majors need to fully state that earnings on the LIV tour won't be counted as "official earnings" given the small size of the fields, shortened tourneys and huge paychecks. Also wonder if the LIVers will be ranked by assorted authorities. It may as well be the Shark Shootout.

That was a pretty damn funny column, worthy of Daddy Jenkins.
    Best lines:
"We can thank golf for giving other unfashionable people something to look down upon."

"Without [golf carts], children of private enclaves would be denied their early F-1 lessons." (I can attest to this in some of the communities close to where I live, where 12-year-olds drive carts on public streets, with six other 12-year-olds, a couple of them holding 2-year-olds, hanging on for dear life -- in a county where there is a law clearly stating you must have a driver's license to drive a golf cart on a public street).
