It's getting dusty in Texas.

Not from the Mojave or Sonora or even from the Southern Plains.

The Freaking Sahara Desert.

No such thing as climate change. Nahhh.

 

This happens every summer, and it's not necessarily a bad thing for us. The dust dries out the air over the Atlantic and prevents hurricanes from forming and strengthening.

I'm sure some of these costs are offset by the benefits of the energy we produce.

But I also think someone needs to reckon the definitive cost/benefit analysis of energy production across the whole arc of the global industrial revolution.

The bottom line is there just isn't that much money to be made in it. If they were - somebody would have done it by now. Who, in the money/investor class, doesn't not want to make money?
