    I couldn't really tell from TV coverage, but did Maroon wreck the play for the Bolts? He came out of the box and stayed on the ice, went up and back a couple of times, making it a lengthy shift, and also the long change to get to the bench. Was he slow getting there, thus was his replacement slow getting onto the ice? Not sure, but possible.

    Here, here. Been listening since the franchise's inception, in late summer on our trips to Wyoming, via KOWB, or now on Sirius. They are awful, especially the guy who has been there forever. No inflection, no excitement, stories drag on for 3-4 pitches ... and what the heck are the "Colorado values" that energy company keeps taking about on the commercials? The guy who does "the door is closing" warnings on the trains at DIA has more energy than their radio guys.

    The doors are closing guy is Alan Roach. He started as the Rockies PA. Used to do the Broncos until he went to the Vikings when they opened their new stadium. He's still the Avalanche PA. Does a ton of voiceovers on KOA and he does a ton of big-time stuff: Super Bowl, all the big NFL events, Olympics. He is tremendous.
