    Throw in Josh Hamilton, CJ Wilson, Gary Matthews Jr. and heck, Mo Vaughn, who got hurt in his first game in Anaheim. Also the Justin Upton extension after trading for him. I don't think the Angels have signed a productive free agent since Reggie Jackson.

    The Angels paid 64.6 million dollars this year for a combined one war from Rendon and Upton. Their five highest-paid players behind Trout are being paid 103 million and have totaled one WAR.

    He is special. Great family and it shows. His grandfather was a legendary football/baseball coach at Linfield College (you probably know that) and never had a losing football season. Mentor to Mike Riley.
