Get really nuts and play 27-27-18.
First day you play 18 and then half the field plays the front nine, the other half the back nine. Second day you flip the nines. Third day you play a straight 18 holes.

Or do a 63-hole format. Three rounds of 18 with shotgun starts. Then at the end of the third round, you cut it down to the top 10, reset the scores, and put them into a 9-hole playoff. Give a bonus to whoever is winning at the end of 54 holes so there's some incentive to lead at that point, but the winner at the end of 63 gets the big money.

Both are interesting. Maybe the extra 9 could be a horse race, with one player knocked out each hole and two left for $5 million or whatever on the last hole.

There are ways to do this and rid the complaints of exhibition golf, which, with a $25 million purse, I don’t understand. (If LIV is an exhibition because players have signing bonuses, so does every team sport.)

Meanwhile, play Friday-Sunday. That probably comes with a TV deal.

Thank you. These guys are glorified for their ping-pong games every year in the team rooms at the Presidents/Ryder Cups ("XX is such a competitor!), but now they're snoozing through exhibitions that pay $4 million to win. Right.

It's like bizarro world. Yeah, I make millions playing golf, but I want to make MORE millions. Now. Because I'm entitled!!!!

I think this will most likely leech interest away from golf as a whole, over time.

Brooks gave no shits about any non-major PGA Tour events to begin with. This should stun no one. Unless the majors start prohibiting the LIV guys from playing, this is going to continue.

Koepka looks like another guy on down side getting paid. He WAS a stud but hasn’t contended in a major in a while IIRC plus he’s been injured.

I hope Koepka’s signing bonus was $1 higher than Bryson’s.

Morikawa shoots down the rumors, emphatically says he's staying with the PGA Tour:
