I liked how they were looking at the net like, hey, I think that's the puck right there!

After that last shot I was like, come on, what do they have to do?!

Then they delayed celebrated and I was just in confusion.

That OT was nuts. So many chances, two posts, and then that goal.

    Man.

It was a weird ending. But damn Colorado is good. I don’t know how they had that much energy in OT to but playing very fast.

Tampa is good and has a ton of experience and a keeper who is much better from the first two games, but I don’t know how they force this back to Florida. Obviously, the Lightning are more than capable and it wouldn’t be a complete shock, but Avs are just playing so damn well.

After how Kuemper has played previously and then that awful first period, but to only be down 1-0 just had to be a bit demoralizing for the Lightning.

After that it was all Avs. The OT rush was something you just don't see. Especially since one of those should have gone in.

Still, it was like a period-long power play.

You never know how teams will respond, but that building will be electric on Friday.

There is some interesting Twitter nonsense going on about what Cooper's nonsense was about. Seems some think he meant the Avs had too many men. I don't know the letter of the law here, but seems pretty much like every line change ever. Also, if the Avs had too many men, the Lighting had even more.

Kind of a weird play by a coach. Grasping at anything you can I guess.

Yeah, too many men could’ve and should’ve been called. …

… just like it should’ve last year. I’m sure Cooper was speechless after this too.

Russo: Too many men? Cup Final gets a dose of controversy with disputed Avalanche OT goal

This Athletic story, although it completely buries it, has two former NHL refs and a linesman all say it wasn't too many men or they wouldn't have called it. The linesman said loose changes happen all the time and very few refs would have called it in OT. He also pointed out how the Lightning had seven out there.

ESPN showed a pretty damning video last night, but how often does this happen? Probably more than we realize, there just aren't Stanley Cup Final game-winning goals that happen all the time along with it. And there were two clear penalties at the end of the third on the Lightning and one on the Avalanche and they called none. Those whistles were swallowed for a long time.

The game-winning goal happened on this play so everyone is going to be up in arms about it, but the Avalanche were dominating the period and it probably was only a matter of time anyway. Kadri also was like 1 on 3 (no one was playing MacKinnon, either, which if was the case, it would have been more obvious).
