I loathe Liz Cheney's politics, but she's shown her integrity this year. That she's not the putative GOP leader, that they're looking at DeSantis, will be the end of American democracy.

It would be amazing to watch and hear Elizabeth Warren if she could be anything other than professorial hall monitor.

I don't knw 100% for certain. Not familiar with the movies but I did read that Tim Allen was not used because of "wokeness" but that the character is a bit different than the other movie character. In fact they say Allen has a new contract with Disney for something starting soon. I bring this up because it's one of the latest rages in the twitterverse.
My question to Allen would be "Why not get on social media and explain to the cultists that Disney did not pick the other guy just to exclude you and in fact have given you some other new project?" Wouldn't that at least take away a little bit of the twitter screeching?

Because no one has mentioned Tim Allen's name in 10 years and he's enjoying the hullabaloo over this.

The New York Times out with a smear of Pelosi.

Ninety-nine percent of that rag could go up in flames and never be missed.

How so? Obama wasn't the establishment pick of the time - Hilary Clinton was, until he proved to be much more popular in the primaries. Bill Clinton emerged from a field that included Jerry Brown and Paul Tsongas. Both won over the establishment voters, but it was only after they won a couple of states.

Because your post alleged the exact opposite. You said the Democrats always pick establishment candidates. Before Biden the last two Democratic presidents were not establishment picks.

"I think that's partly why the Democratic Party fucks up so often. They're happy to put up older candidates who have "paid their dues" instead of people that generate any form of excitement. An election is a popularity contest." is what you said

Eh, Hilary Clinton was the establishment pick, until Obama wrestled it from her. Looking at 1992 again, I was misremembering it - Clinton was almost always the front runner for a nomination no one wanted.

    In the last 40 years:

    1984: Mondale
    1988: Dukakis
    2000: Gore
    2004: Kerry
    2016: HRC

    I'd say he's on track.
