I'm kind of curious what the tipping point is myself. For all the pissing and moaning about gay marriage before it was ratified, well, most people seem pretty cool with it now. (Gallup says it has 71 percent support among people in the U.S. right now.) Likewise, legalized weed in most places has high approval. Right now, Republicans have rigged the electoral map well enough that they're still competitive. But at some point, the flooding of people into southern cities like Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, the Disney strongholds, is going to make those states flip.

And whites are expected to become the minority by 2045, according to the Census Bureau. Republicans are trying to kill America before they go extinct themselves.

And I still can’t get legalized sports betting in my new state. Assholes.

Now that the session has ended, Ketanji Brown Jackson should declare that she looks forward to serving on a court - some day - that once again respects "settled law."

I shouldn't have ventured over to the other board this afternoon. I'm now angrier than I was a few hours ago. Morbid curiosity, I suppose.

As painful as this week is, I can’t help but think that nearly all of the BS that the GOP is putting the country through is just sheer desperation at this point.

They know they can’t win on most ideas. They know that their party trends towards older and more white. They know that the only reason they still are viable are because they’ve gone balls-out on throwing shit at the wall and hoping some of it sticks with a short-attention span public.

Regan said it earlier. They caught the car. And they’re going to realize very quickly after their stupid Mission Accomplished moments that everyone else didn’t want them to catch the car, are actually pissed off that they caught the car and that the car is still going to run and drag them along until they get run over themselves because people actually like the car.

The government now controls every single pregnancy in America. Will some states keep abortion rights? Of course. But every other pregnancy is now a government decision. Husbands and wives will not be able to end a pregnancy even if the wife is laying on the table dying. 17-year-olds will never be able to end a pregnancy that will destroy their lives. There are a litany of stories that become nightmares scenarios now.

I can no longer have children, but I do have a daughter. And the truth is unless the government has its head up your uterus right now I don't know if you're really feeling the violation.

No matter how long I live, I will never forget this, I will never forgive this, and I will never let it go. I am legion. I am woman. And it may not be tomorrow or next year or in 5 years, but there will come a day where they will fucking reap the consequences of what they've done here.

They’ve capitalized on being the loudest voice in the room and spreading shit on the internet to the under educated, unable to critically think dopes. They give winks and nods to people who don’t feel comfortable around minorities and stoke the flames of fear.

The irony is the Republicans could solidify their dominance by embracing the same people they’re pushing away. Blacks and Hispanics are church-going, family-loving people. But the racism, immigration and poverty and opportunity issues need to be rethought by Republicans. But so long as the base wants Blacks smiling while serving them and Hispanics picking produce and cleaning their homes and otherwise not bothering them, it won’t happen.

Just walked through the SCOTUS protest. Smaller than I expected. Some MAGA chuds were there. My 13-year-old said it was overwhelming.
