Partially right. The vote was 6-3, but Roberts wrote a concurrence that he would have let the Mississippi law stand without overturning Roe wholesale.

For such a liar, Boris is completely transparent. Even at his height of triumph, his eyes were always full of such pain. He hates himself and doesn't want to be PM (all those details.)

What keeps him clinging on is the desperate hope that being in Downing Street will finally make him happy (which he's too smart to really believe, which makes him even more miserable.) So - like with so many others - what we have here is an entire country in thrall to one man's psychodrama.

I was thinking about this earlier - should it be much of a surprised that the Biden Administration is struggling? Figure the administration is staffed by many people involved in his campaign - and remember that the first primary Biden ever won was South Carolina in 2020 (after two earlier runs for the WH went no further than Iowa). I understand he's a loyal guy - but without Clyburn and the other party establishment types telling everyone else to clear out for Joe (even Bernie bailed after COVID hit) his people have no track record in responding and overcoming adversity due to their own efforts. There is something to be said for a long primary where candidates are subjected to the same daily scrutiny they will get if they make it to the White House. You can't have bad days, or bad weeks.
