That's awesome. This business is woefully short of pats on the back.

Remember that when you're getting yelled at by a swim club parent.

Only way Gooch ever sniffs a Ryder Cup or Presidents Cup is by purchasing a ticket.

LPGA cancels Shanghai event due to Covid. I hear there's an opportunity to reschedule as the Yuigur Open...

The disconnect in this country is staggering.
Bryson and his ilk are pariahs for taking gob-smacking amounts of money for playing a game, paid out by truly evil Saudi royal family...and yet no one ever stops to ask, "where does that family get their money to begin with...?"
When will the tsk-tskers sell their internal combustion engine-powered vehicles and replace them with EVs?

Covid is now almost a boon for the PGA Tour. Can hide behind it for the WGC cancellation. Pretend now like PGA Tour China didn't exist because it got upended for Covid three years ago.

Covered our women's amateur championship the last three days down at Meadowbrook, the course Lanny and Bobby Wadkins grew up playing. The pro let me come down and play a round today, and I shot 94. Mind you, I still carry a 28.9 index, so that's a really good freaking score for me today. Realized early in the round that I was casting the club on the backswing and I remembered a drill from one of our old interns turned teaching pro, essentially designed to keep your elbow tucked close to your body on the swing. On the back, I hit five of seven fairways (and missed the other two by about a combined four feet), hit one of two GIRs on the par 3s, and had a par putt on 18 slide two inches to the right. Would have tied my personal best, set some 20 years ago at a course near Camp Verde south of Flagstaff. Feeling really confident about the direction of my game, and the fact that I can start really working on some mechanics other than just making solid contact. Can't wait to get out there again.

Side note: I'm probably starting to give away shots for our staff championship in the fall, which is a net stableford competition. That's fine, though.

From Mother's Day until mid-June, I was playing as well as I ever have as a senior. Last two weeks, terrible slump. Some different thing goes wrong every day, so I'm not even sure what to work on. Just gotta grind through it, I guess.

Hang in there, it will come back.

Like I've said, I was somehow slapping it around to a single digit index all the while using a baseball grip on my left hand for I don't know how long. I just figured that out and I'm hitting the ball better than I ever have in my life.
