Jon Miller in recent years has been calling the length and direction of the ball, punctuated by "Adios, pelota!"

If the rumors of Giants-Padres game in Mexico next season are true, wonder if he'll say "Goodbye, baseball."

Hopefully, he didn’t also have a problem with their uniforms.

The real league shutdown in ‘54, and there were some major league teams that had still not integrated yet. The foot-dragging was fairly common.

I’m wondering if they’ll make the reboot historically accurate enough or if they’ll take some creative license.

The Pirates have now lost games this year by the following scores:

    21 - 0
    19 - 2
    18 - 4
    16 - 0
    14 - 5

Hoping they can add a 15, 17 and 20 to complete the string.

Pirates TV crew (including Kevin "KY" Young, which gave me a laugh) whining about position players pitching, "this isn't baseball," etc.

    Don't like it?

Maybe try building a winner, for a change.

And they have won the next game every time. We'll see what happens today (after the 16-0 loss).

What a jackass this guy is. At least the jerseys appeared to be safe last night.

Just put it on Worcester's tab - I think it's like $70M and counting for a AAA team.

Are pitchers just more high-strung than position players? You see pitchers freak out all the time and everyone else on the team just has to act like there is nothing to see. Or is it that the position doesn't allow the release of stress that other players can "burn off" running or swinging etc.

Nine-year-old link. But add to the list Will Flemming, brother of the Giants' Dave Flemming, now on Red Sox radio. When the Giants played at Fenway a few years ago, the Red Sox "called up"Will Flemming to do the games.
