DeAngelo grew up outside of Philly. Should be interesting, him and Tortorella. One is a fuse waiting to be lit, the other breathes fire.

After watching his last two stops, I wouldn't want him anywhere near my team if I was a GM.

DeAngelo being a racist shitbag should go over well with Torts.

I look forward to the locker room brawl.

Nothing but admiration for Duncan Keith. Back when the Ducks were a bona fide Cup threat, their plan to beat the Blackhawks in the Western Conference Finals was to pressure Keith until he finally broke down. Seven brutal games under the gun and he never broke down. Happy retirement, sir.

Hasn’t been much talk of Shane Wright, who was the consensus #1 for the last two years, falling to fourth.

I wasn’t totally surprised to see Montreal pass on him, but I was shocked to see him slip all the way to Seattle. I’m sure Francis was fine to have him fall in his lap.

A few mocks had him slipping. Once Montreal passed, it became a very real possibility.

From everything I’ve been able to gather, as the season went on scouts were expecting more from him and never got it, including an underwhelming playoff. An acquaintance who covers the O said he saw Wright play 9 times this year and never left the arena impressed.

I think the time missed due to COVID makes every prospect in this year a little less certain than normal.

As a Habs fan I’m not wild about the top pick, just because I fear size is often overvalued.

They do seem to be interested in keeping most of the team intact, but they aren't willing to make such a long commitment to Malkin. Supposedly, they made him a two-year offer and he wanted that same amount per year for four seasons.
