Six straight after walking off against the Angels tonight. GWRBI by Trey Mancini, and don't think I've forgotten his path to get here, either.

In fact, I'm thinking about Trey Mancini while hearing that some of the Phillies won't be going to Toronto next weekend because they won't get vaccinated.

The Blue Jays have played 84 games. He has been the starting catcher in 42 of them, 50%. Call me an out-of-touch fossil, but the starting All-Star catcher should have played more than half of his games at catcher.

But, I get the fan vote, so it's OK. The days of catchers starting 140 games at that position are long-gone.

Adley with a two-out double in B9 to keep the O's alive. He's the man.

Not sure why he didn't, but he's not my player.

He may be the least-athletic looking position player in MLB, except for Vogelbach. But he can rake.

The Padres' City Connects may be the worst yet. You have been warned.

He is so bad it has to be embarrassing to his fellow umpires.

How is that not reviewable? It was a fair/foul call on the line -- does that only apply to outfield fair-foul calls?

I think it’s because once he ruled it foul, everyone stops and there’s no real way to know the outcome of the play. Sure third base booted the ball, but in general cases you can’t count on that. Plus everyone gets another crack at making a play.

Orioles have won three games when down to their last out. This week.
Rutschman has 18 extra base hits in his first 40 games. Only one Oriole in history has more. That would, of course, be the immortal Chito Martínez, the only player in MLB history born in Belize. He had 20 XBH in his first 40 contests.
