My examples weren't simple factual errors. She didn't misstate the inflation rate or get a date wrong. She claimed something that was not true in any state. She had no concept of accounting. Not very smart.

 

90% of Congress probably has no idea of what a gallon of milk costs. Doesn't mean they're stupid. And I doubt anyone in the Pentagon even understands its accounting.

It wasn't a misunderstanding of Pentagon accounting. There was a report that there was some huge figure of Pentagon spending that was improperly accounted for or unaccounted for. AOC took it to mean the money was misspent or wasted and could have been spent on social programs, when it simply meant it was unaccounted for and went both ways, I.e both a credit and a debit. Basic accounting concepts. She had no clue.

No, it was a basic lack of understanding of accounting. Regardless, she found it fit to make some political point about something she doesn't know. Not smart.

 

This progression is great. She got facts wrong, Pentagon accounting is difficult, it's just a misunderstanding.
