the Usos would disagree with the last part.

They really shouldve just declared the nxt womens tags the titles for the whole company when the main roster ones went away tho, saying there was gonna be a tournament that will never happen will be a punchline for 10+ years

There's the Usos, and then what? Usos and Profits: Part 47? Gable and Otis have been no more than lackeys for the heel of the week. The Vikings have been retooled, rebooted and forgotten about so much, it's laughable.

Now that New Day are no longer in the midst of their endless feud with Sheamus and his cronies, there's that, but how many times can they go down that well?

There was a famous picture of AJ Lee marking out for Lita as a kid. Here's Roxanne as a kid marking out for AJ Lee.

Sometime around 2012 or so, our paper did a feature on Rick Steiner's two older sons, who were standout high school wrestlers. Also in the picture: a 12-year-old Bron Breakker.

For the life of me, I've tried to find that photo, but our archives suck.

Rko bro? Judgement Day? Sheamus’ crew?

Usos have been putting on clinical banger matches since they were in board shorts against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. The opponents cycle, so what? To say wwe doesnt care about tag team wrestling as if its still 2006, I cant agree

AEW has Anna Jay vs. Serena Deeb in what's as close as possible to a hometown show for her (show's in Savannah, Anna's from Brunswick, about an hour away). Considering Anna is Jungle Boy's girl in real life, will they have Christian confront her and potentially have Jungle Boy return? Or do they keep her separate from the Christian/JB storyline?

All of those you listed are singles wrestlers turned into tag teams, which is one of the big complaints made to show the WWE doesn't care about tag teams.

And Judgement Day might as well be dead in the water without Edge in charge, and with Rhea Ripley (arguably the member with the biggest current starpower) sidelined indefinitely. Much to WWE's doing and jerking around, this is not the same Finn Balor who owned NXT or threatened for the world/universal title. I've always liked him, but I just don't buy him as a threat anymore -- he's just the dreaded "good hand" to have around.

Along with the Usos, the New Day and the New, Vicious (just shoot me now) Viking Raiders are the only natural tag teams on the roster. And even the New Day has been more about all their individual aspirations in recent years (Kofimania, Big E as champ, Woods as King).

As opposed to say Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland…..

Yes, but AEW still has a greater number of natural tag teams that date back to pre-AEW.

    Young Bucks
    Santana and Ortiz
    Lucha Bros.
    FTR
    Jurassic Express
    ReDragon
    Reynolds and Silver
    Private Party
    Best Friends
2.0/3.0 (whatever their names are now)

Then you add some of those created for the purpose of being tag teams in AEW, like the Ass Boys and the Acclaimed.

You look back at the amount of natural pairings in the heyday of WWF/E's tag scene in the '80s and '90s (and even through the early '00s with the TLC guys) compared to now, and it's clear that it's only an afterthought.

Did I mention AEW? It’s possible to think both aren’t doing tag teams justice.

Its also possible that 2 “singles” wrestlers teaming up for a while doesnt mean its a bad tag team or bad booking.

Ciampa and Gargano for example. Gallows and Anderson were both singles stars before they ever met. There are 50 examples

This Jericho promo brought to you by Just For Men. At least it's not dripping Rudy Giuliani style this time.
