I was hoping for some Friday night, after work magic. Incredible stuff by Kershaw, anyway.

I've heard of "throw-back" uniforms, these look more like "throw-up" uniforms. I'm pretty sure I've puked all those colors at one time or another. all three on occasion.

If you can’t win with 7 years of control of the player that’s on your organization.

Yeah, but keep in mind he did it against the Angels. My god, I had worries about the pitching going into the season (like it is every season), but I never thought the lineup would be this bad.

I don't think I've ever seen an Angels offense this anemic, and I once went to a game in the late '90s in Anaheim where Jeff Huson was the cleanup hitter.

I don’t know about all, but a few teams were in major financial trouble.

The Reds were in bankruptcy until Powell Crosley bought them. The Phillies were always struggling in a two-team city, especially in the crappy Baker Bowl.

The Braves had some financial difficulties, which is one reason why Emil Fuchs signed Babe Ruth in 1935 to be a gate attraction.

The Dodgers also had major problems due to ownership issues after Charles Ebbetts died to the point that the bank that was essentially running things hired O’Malley to keep an eye on their books.

And in the AL, the Browns were perpetually poor trying to compete with the Cardinals. They had a couple of years where they didn’t even draw 90,000 fans for the season.

    Yeah this is depressing.

At least they got a title before they settle into a decade of not being relevant.

What a shock, Altuve pulls out of the All Star game with a bruised leg. Guess the cheater didn’t want to be booed during introductions at Dodger Stadium.

Who wants a measly 440 million dollars?
