Why did Republicans vote against the Respect For Marriage Act? Why do they disrespect marriage?

Let’s make the GOP senators vote against it.

Cox was helped in the win by more than $1 million in TV advertising by the Democratic Governors Association.

Dems tried that here in the governor and Senate primaries (and some congressional and down-ballot races) and it didn't work other than a lot of money for TV and digital platforms. At all. Then the R guv candidate names an election denier as her running mate. Not that she had any chance anyway.

Exactly. He was basically propped up by the DGA because they see him as an easier defeat in November than Hogan's former cabinet secretary Kelly Schultz.

So basically the Democratic strategy in November will be Cox-blocking.

That would be a great headline. "Cox blocked!"

As long as the blue balls win.

I really wish the Dems had a better card to play in elections than - "the other candidate sucks (more) - so vote for us."
