Wait, if you don't want to abide by discrimination rules, isn't that going to be discrimination? What other outcome is there? Or are you going to say "they're going to make even better anti-discrimination rules?"

And this is different than directives on LGBTQ because it involves accepting federal funds.

That's the whole point of federalism and federal funds, to ensure uniformity throughout the states, especially if you want OUR federal funds.

    Uh I did.

    Per article:

The [USDA] directive [requiring non-discrimination as requirement for receiving federal funds] followed a landmark civil rights decision by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2020 that, under a provision called Title VII, protects gay, lesbian and transgender people from discrimination in the workplace.

According to the lawsuit, the attorneys general allege that the USDA's new directive is based on a "misreading" of the Supreme Court's ruling and did not provide states and other groups the opportunity to provide public comment.
"Misreading"?? What is the goal here by the AGs? The USDA directive is clear. They have the power to require compliance. States have choice not to accept the federal funds.

"Public comment?" Don't believe the USDA, an executive branch, has to provide that. Even so, where was the "public comment" when the GOP backed Congress pass the tax cuts without one single public hearing? Passed the bill with handwritten marginalia??

I mean, if somebody is conservative, that's one thing.

But anyone who would vote for this Cro-Magnon simply doesn't have a critical-thinking gene.
