Less than 10% of homes in the UK have central air, right?

America? Let’s say our percentage helps us not care about global warming.

I just cleared out 15 years worth of paint cans from my garage. If you can get the paint to a thick consistency, you can just throw it away like trash. So that means 10 five-gallon buckets and a shit ton of kitty litter…

Fuck it. Save up and pay the company. You have to get rid of it if you ever want to sell the house.

It might be up to 10% now, but it sure as hell wasn't about 25 years ago. The only air conditioned spaces I remember were at U.S. force PX's and commissaries.

I honestly thought global warming was going to affect the rich people in coastal homes, but who would have thought we would get random pockets of people wiped out by flooding in the Midwest and Appalachia?

I hope Kentucky doesn’t ask for any federal relief funding.

The Democratic governor already has. I hope you didn’t ask for the lights to turn on all these years while you wrote Appalachia off as forfeit.

If you knew anything about the history of Central Appalachia, you’d realize that the flooding risk has been well-established for more than a century.

Especially the towns that the TVA covered with water!

I don't say that negatively. I'm just pointing out the fact that there are a lot of Appalachian communities under a lot of lakes.
Hey, it makes for good fishing structure!

    Sorry.

'Greta Thunberg on a sailboat' is Alma's punchline to every element of the climate change debate. Running joke.

    So noted.

The Quabbin Reservoir, which was built in the '30s and supplies the water for pretty much all of eastern Mass., covers several former towns.
