    I think being catcalled/jeered by prison inmates while on assignment is something every journalist ought to experience, once.
    The kind of thing that tells you you're not in Kansas anymore.

    I know its not the same, but isn't it every journos experience to be told routinely by people you are there to cover/interview that your paper is bad. I mean - do people let every visitor they meet know that they have a low opinion of their place of business? I get it, but its still rude.
