    No, not even close. The Dolphins also weren’t punished for tanking.

    Well they were and they weren’t. NFL can’t openly talk about the Dolphins ownership wanting to ‘maximize draft position’ while they are defendants in a lawsuit over racial discrimination.

    Teams don’t go out and try and lose, but they don’t always put their best players on the field either. Load management is a form of tanking. Resting players at the end of the season after clinching is tanking. Not giving maximum effort with the best players is a form of tanking. And there’s nothing wrong with it. Rule
    1 is won a championship. Rule 2 is build to win a championship. Tanking is a tactical way to comply with rule 2

    Try this again. The Dolphins were not punished for that. They were punished for tampering. The league is sweeping the accusations of taking under the rug.

    The Angels have hit seven solo home runs and still trail Oakland, 8-7.

    Ties MLB record.

    One homer in seven of the nine innings. Remarkable.

    Yep. And Nevin has run out of players twice recent games, forcing Ward to play third base. Today, he had no one to pinch run for Stassi, who walked with one out in the ninth. That gave Shohei a chance to win it with a homer. He hit 2 earlier. Popped up on the first pitch. Angels continue to find ways to lose.

    Which record did they tie? Solo homers in a game?
    At any rate, that's gonna leave a mark.
    * Teams hitting ≥ 7 HR in a game are now 110-6.
    * First team to score ≥ 7 runs and score all runs on solo homers.
