Putting aside his limited acting resume, I'm surprised they want to go all-in on the character. Starfox's history in the comics is, at best troubling. He can control the emotions of others, so he can get people to do whatever he wants them to do. In the comics, that led to some consent issues.

Wasn't that also the gimmick of David Tennant's Purple Man villain in the Jessica Jones Netflix show? I know the tone of that was darker than the MCU, but they seem to have pulled it off there.

It is a little different. Purple Man controls minds. Starfox controls emotions. For example, he can make people fall in love with him. In the comics, he ends up on trial for sexual assault. He was accused of using his abilities to get a married woman to have sex with him. Jennifer Walters (She-Hulk) defended him. She wondered if he had used his powers on her when they had briefly had a sexual relationship. Instead of answering her, he tried to run and she caught him and beat the hell out of him. His father saw that and teleported him away, so the trial was never completed.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law will release on Thursdays for some reason? Ok. Just wish it was a little sooner. I'm always happy for new stuff my daughter and I will watch together, but she goes back to school not long after this one starts. Maybe we can try out the Groupwatch function on Disney+, though I'm still not sure what that does other than start the stream at the exact same moment.

You can hit groupwatch while on Discord, for example, and chat with people about it. Kind of fun with older movies, since you can kind of MST3K it. I probably wouldn't want to do it with any content I'm trying to follow or pay attention to, though.

This isn't really MCU, but it is Marvel. Sort of. Josh Keaton has provided the voice of Spider-Man in animated series and video games, including the short-lived but very good Spectacular Spider-Man, which was incomprehensibly cancelled and replaced by that shitshow with Drake Bell. The first clip is Keaton reading a famous monologue from ASM #181. The second is him adding his voice to a series of memes, mostly images from the 1960s series.

I was just poking around YouTube and this popped up in my feed. There were so many great little moments in this movie, but this one also made me wonder if they really needed to recast Cassie for Quantamania.

One of the previous trailers seemed to suggest She-Hulk was stronger than Hulk. I'm guessing too much fan complaining got them to reveal a bit more of the rock-throwing scene to set things right.

I think Newton is more of an established actress - She was so good in "Halt and Catch Fire" that they kept expanding her role, and she's almost a lead by the final season. Emma Fuhrmann (original actress) is only 20, but her next most noticeable roles is in stuff like Chicago Fire and Station 19.

I get that thinking. I'm just saying that I don't think recasting is a good idea unless absolutely necessary, and it didn't seem necessary to me.
