I was just about to post that the first 20 minutes could have passed for a Walking Dead episode called "Life Among the Zombies."

I'm actually relieved, because I was doubting they would ever tie that up.

So is that how Kim's story ends? Broken, crying on a bus in the Albuquerque airport and then returning to a zombie life in Florida?
I'm happy she's alive through the Breaking Bad years, but she's definitely not living.

She's basically catatonic now. But I see it as one of the ways she could have gone after seeing a man killed in cold blood five feet in front of her -- and knowing she was at least partly responsible for him being there.

Eh there is one more episode. Who knows?

BTW, did anyone watch the Talking Saul afterwards? Lol, Odenkirk sounded like he barely knew anything about the show.

My all time favorite characters in the Breaking Bad universe:

    6. Badger
    5. Kim
    4. Hank
    3. Mike
    2. Fring
    1. Lalo

The quick Jessie Pinkman cameo was fun. And of course, every time I see a mention of something like that, it gets me wracking my brain trying to think if they ever dropped a line about Combo stealing a nativity scene back in BB.

Such a great turn by the writers ... I would not have expected the phone call between Saul and Kim to go that way based on his reaction in the phone booth. My assumption was that she basically told him to never contact her again and he lost his shit. Also that tiny flicker of Jimmy still left inside ends up costing him, as that split second allowed Marian to hit the Life Alert button. I've had some criticism of the show myself this season, but last night's episode was really, really good.

I'm also ready for it to be done. There's very little story left to be told within this universe, and I'm glad to hear Gilligan say it's over after next week.

She's at least confessed, so I wonder if we see her rebound a tiny bit, like Jesse. Not that she's going to live happily ever after in Florida, but she could try to get her law license back and actually try to help people, like she originally wanted. Hell, maybe she just quits her awful job and dumps the guy, and works at a domestic violence shelter instead.

I think that's a sharp contrast from Jimmy Saul Gene. He's gone too far into the dark, and he's taken the Heisenberg option. I don't know if he even has a "sacrifice"-like card to play, like Walt did in at least rescuing Jesse. (Maybe when / if he gets arrested, he takes the weight of it all, a la Wee-Bey?)

One other thing - kind of like "The Wire," it's interesting how few people are left standing at the end. Spoilers for "The Wire" -
The out of area suppliers (The "Greek," the Mexicans) are largely unaffected and just move on to different distributors. A few people manage to escape the game entirely, at medium to extreme cost (Jesse, Francesca and maybe Kim, Poot and Namond). At the end of "The Wire," Slim Charles is the only pawn who's managed to get across the board.
