The courtroom where the hearing is for the three LIV'ers has a Zoom, but its capacity is limited to 500 (c'mon, government!). So I'm trying to follow via Golf Twitter (just typing that makes my stomach turn), which is the effing worst.

The Northern District of California is one of my home courts, I can't see any of them issuing a temporary restraining order in the player's favor under these facts/circumstances. Some are liberal but they're not idiots. (I write this without having seen who is the judge or any of the papers.)

Everyone may now return to not caring about the PGA Tour playoffs.

What is he worried about being “cancelled” for?

Winning the Scottish Open, getting drunk and losing the trophy, and waking up days later in Ireland, if I had to guess...

It's just an excuse. NBC was happy to have him. Gave him his own show on Golf Channel. Show didn't pull in the numbers, so he was, uh, "canceled."

Funny thing about Feherty, for all he said in that story about being able to be himself, etc., he was very normal in his debut LIV broadcast. Had a couple stray one-liners but was mostly a straight man in the booth calling golf shots, to the point that I thought that's what LIV wanted out of him -- to be a credible golf voice and not a wisecracker. Presumably that would have been Barkley's job.

Barkley adds nothing to the telecast outside of the NBA. LIV was actually smart not to add him.

Feherty has always been a firecracker. He was restrained on the Masters -- obviously. He knew he would get bikini waxed for anything out of line.

It's a staid sport. I get it. LIV is trying to "fix" that. Their approach is beyond out of the norm and should not be supported in anyway.
