There's not much you can do with an NBA jersey the "prime space" is taken up by the number. If you allowed the front number to be on one leg of the shorts and opened up room for design up top - you might have something. Spurs, Bucks, Warriors do it right.

I loved when they went back to these for a year in the 1990s. As a Blazers fan, I’d love to see them ditch the clearance bin Eastbay font and go back to these. AB5340DE-4D0A-48C7-B1A3-14826C30F023.jpeg

Saudis probably said, "Sorry Chuck, we aren't buying the NBA for you. But if you're interested in college ball, we understand the Pac-12 is coming on the market."

I'm pretty sure the Saudis would have paid for him to just talk about golf - or whatever. This is just another sportswashing / "normalcy" play on their part, and Barkley at $X million is probably a far better ROI than washed-up golfers. Like, they reported signed Bubba Watson for $50M.

NBA to retire Russell's No. 6 for all 30 teams

Bill Russell's No. 6 to be retired across NBA following legend's death last month

Was Magic the one who first suggested this? Or merely give the idea more exposure? Either way, this is a great move and well worthy.
