    Based on my 60 seconds of Google, there is neither a formal process or a time line with respect to such reviews. So basically, the book banning school board can take its sweet time deciding if reading a book will give a kid the gays.

    Then you'll love that it wasn't even The Diary of Anne Frank. It was an illustrated adaptation of it.

    I am with you. They should not be "reviewing" books or doing much of anything when a parent challenges a book, except telling them that books aren't threats to anyone (maybe those parents should be as concerned about their guns) and that the best thing they can do for their kids is teach them HOW to think instead of WHAT to think.
