It's not a tax credit. It's a subsidy. i.e. -- people being given financial benefit that they didn't earn, with the cost borne by others.

A tax credit doesn't hand someone money they didn't earn. It makes it so that the money they actually earned doesn't get taken from them.

Something wrong with the Texas grid? I mean, other than the fervent daily prayers of the "our democracy!" set that it'll fail?

You, too, Boris. .. How's that GOP voter fraud story playing in the local rag?

I'm deducting points because you didn't cite the Fed here.

A subsidy can take the form of a tax credit ... if it's a refundable tax credit.

Those are starting to pop up on twitter. I can't vouch for this but it is showing up, also someone posted a link to the loans and are posting it to individual politicians with their loan forgiven amount.

Just say that college graduates are “too big to fail.”

    Problem solved.

MGM did put that casino just over the line from CT, in Springfield. Right across the highway from the Basketball Hall of Fame.

If we reduce their student loan principal, the windfall will trickle down to the rest of us.

So it’s a subsidy, BFD. Just like subsidized crop and farm insurance and flood insurance for beach front homes of the wealthy. Subsidies like the billions in forgiven PPE loans, the bank bailouts. Why is it when some money goes to the middle class it’s horrific. The middle of America defines what this country ought to be, help them out
