Someone tell the city elders that. Every time a politician says, "We need a sportsball team!" and "We need to build a pretty new Barbie's Dream Venue to throw the parties, er, play the sportsball in! Teehee!" a half dozen people who write (or wrote) about sports, love sports, and care about Nashville, mutter, "No. We really don't."*

You don't want to mess with Milwaukee fans.

Nor would we want to try. Braves games are fun when the Sounds are on rain delay (or the Cards or whatever mix and match works on a weekend afternoon...)

*Yes I know that is the mother of run-on sentences. I. Don't. Care.

She was arrested today. One battery charge, one terroristic threatening and maybe a hate crime charge.

 

The "belief" that Dems have that have a birthright to the Latino vote because they support more lenient immigration policies is one of the greatest miscalculations/misunderstandings of modern politics. See also, the Irish and the Italians supporting the same politicians because they're both largely Catholic.

 

You are correct, but the fact remains that Latinos who vote Republican are voting for people who hate them. So there's a lot of misunderstanding going on with this issue.

It’s not as if the Democrats have welcomed the largest minority group in the country with open arms and leadership positions. Elements of the party aren’t happy with legal immigration. And apparently the Hispanic community isn’t always as happy with illegal immigration as the establishment democrats
