It is so hard for me to imagine anyone not having seen Star Wars, particularly with it being the first one.:)

You all really owe it to yourselves to see some of these movies. When I committed to finishing off the AFI 100, I already had a head start on the list, but there were many that were fantastic and influential to what we see today, some had a lot more "bite" than I anticipated, and some I think that were overrated trash (A Place In The Sun - which was axed from the first list for the updated edition, which oddly includes some pre-1940 movies that were just as good when the first list went out. (so I guess there are more I have to see).

By and large it’s a very solid list… but Star Wars at 13 and Forrest Gump at 76 are indefensible.

I do wish there were fewer "popular" films on the AFI list and a few more "influential" - but I'm guessing they had to scrub the jaz z singer and Birth of a Nation (not that I'm a fan of racist movies, but those were notable because they did things other movies hadn't done before.

    Nope
Seen parts, but never the whole thing.
    Nope.
I’ll also add Forrest Gump, Rudy, and any Iron Man or Harry Potter movie.

Yeah, Forrest Gump should be on 100 worst list.

There are at least a thousand movies worse than Forrest Gump, including several Best Picture winners.

Pick any two Marvel movies except Guardians of the Galaxy. That’s the only one I’ve seen.

The movies I saw in the theaters between 1968 and 1980 consisted of:
    Marooned
    Blazing Saddles
    Animal House
    Star Wars (A New Hope)
    Superman The Movie

So I've been spending the next 40 years catching up.

    Still never seen:
    Apocalypse Now
    The Deer Hunter
    Any Bond film
    Any LOTR film
    ET
    Goodfellas
    Pretty much any Tarantino film
    Caddyshack
    The Longest Yard (either version)
    Any Woody Allen film
