He's an old school bureaucrat. He didn't count on the Attorney General of the United States burying his report on Russia tampering with a presidential election.

    Same, from the WaPo:

Files copied from voting systems were shared with Trump supporters, election deniers

"Sensitive election system files obtained by attorneys working to overturn President Donald Trump’s 2020 defeat were shared with election deniers, conspiracy theorists and right-wing commentators, according to records reviewed by The Washington Post.

A Georgia computer forensics firm, hired by the attorneys, placed the files on a server, where company records show they were downloaded dozens of times. Among the downloaders were accounts associated with a Texas meteorologist who has appeared on Sean Hannity’s radio show; a podcaster who suggested political enemies should be executed; a former pro surfer who pushed disproven theories that the 2020 election was manipulated; and a self-described former “seduction and pickup coach” who claims to also have been a hacker.

Plaintiffs in a long-running federal lawsuit over the security of Georgia’s voting systems obtained the new records from the company, Atlanta-based SullivanStrickler, under a subpoena to one of its executives. The records include contracts between the firm and the Trump-allied attorneys, notably Sidney Powell. The data files are described as copies of components from election systems in Coffee County, Ga., and Antrim County, Mich."

When the operation was finished, Obama's first phone calls were to the three U.S. Presidents who had to deal with Al Qaida and terrorism, Clinton, Bush and Bush ... two out of three Republicans. And Obama reportedly made it a point to tell George W. Bush that bin-Laden was whacked because of the intelligence groundwork laid under the Bush II administration.

I read once where rich southern Californians are freaked out when it looks like their brats can't get into USC and might have to go Arizona State -- which, from what I hear, is 10 times more fun than USC.

And one-tenth the school of USC. Unless you're majoring in journalism. Cronkite's pretty good.

I have some knowledge of how the security at a United States Embassy works if you need to visit the executive office.

If you visit a typical Embassy there will be a Marine in a booth at the door. You have to show ID and then you are escorted in. The escort takes you to the executives offices. There is a locked door and you are buzzed in. Every office has a safe. No cell phones are permitted and they are to be left outside the area, No one without a clearance is allowed unescorted. This means that the night janitors and any workmen are escorted. All keys are kept at the Marine post. The concern is that someone accesses a classified document off a desk, takes a cell phone photo and walks away.

I wonder if the staff or tradesmen at Mar-a-Largo were escorted. I wonder if the keys were controlled. I wonder how hard it would havee been for someone to get into the room. photograph classified materials and walk out.
