It's raining in the summer at Daytona? I'm shocked.

NASCAR bags it on the ol' Firecracker 400, so instead of network prime time, it's 10 a.m. on a Sunday morning on CNBC. And they said throwback weekend was next week.

 

Wait, what? You mean a summer race in Daytona starting at 10 a.m. might actually be a good idea? The heck you say.

I can only imagine the hangovers guys drove with back in those days. Party til 2 and be in the garage to work on the car four hours later, then drive 400 miles in early afternoon heat?

 

No other time is gonna work. At least starting at 10 they can get halfway before it starts raining again.
