God wants to answer your prayers, but he doesn't know what "waahdah" means.

If the apocalypse is inevitable, lay back and enjoy it.

Every doom and gloom prediction, including the most recent one about the Greenland ice from a couple of pages back, says it is. So is it inevitable or not?

This also goes back to another question at the core of this issue: What kind of human misery is acceptable?
Climate change is going to end all human life as we know it. That's bad.
We've developed technology that has allowed us to adapt to harsh climates — even conquer them in some cases — and make life better. That's also bad.
There is a strain of this debate that is very anti-humanity, or at the very least anti-Western civilization. According to a certain sect of environmentalists, we're supposed to suffer to help heal the Earth. To pay for our sins, if you will. I can't help but wonder how long it'll be before someone prominent openly advocates Thanos-like genocide to reduce the strain on global resources.

Question for the smart ones: I live 8 miles from the ocean at an elevation of 57 feet. When should I expect the water to reach my front porch?

Never. But you might want to take up religion, just in case I'm wrong.

This is the logic of a 12-year old who doesn’t want to clean his room.

Doesn't matter. If you're smart you'll sell when the water is 100 feet away for a prime beachfront price. :)

That's the modern Republican Party. Don't want to lift a single finger or make a single sacrifice to make the world a better place. And don't throw the military at me. Y'all do more harm than good.
