I think the referees just broke a half a dozen other rules to erase the horseshit call they originally made.

So he wasn't down ... which negates the awful roughing the passer call ... and there was no targeting ... but he's still allowed to just throw the ball two yards away to nobody while he's in the grasp in the end zone and it's not grounding?
It's like they were trying to hit every square on the officiating clusterfuck bingo card and succeeded.

He was on top of the rusher, yes, but his elbow hit the ground before he threw the ball. Watch it again. He uses his left elbow to support himself so he could throw. Should have been a safety.

I learned today that the SEC Network has a show called True South that discusses “southern beliefs and identities.” Uh oh.

So, Ohio State drops a spot in the AP poll after beating No. 5 at home.
What happens to Bama after today, regardless of the outcome? My guess is if they win, they'll stay No. 1 because it just means more.

Won’t matter. If Bama keeps playing like this, they’ll lose two or three times in SEC play.

I was right there with you up until about 20 minutes ago. Now we're at the point where we stop expecting Alabama to win by 30 and start watching in fascination as they have that one annual, "Holy shit, they're in real trouble here" moment.
After which they'll still go 8-0 in the SEC, get into the playoff, and probably win the national championship and this game will be like a weird drunken night when they drank half a fifth of Goldschlager, mooned a cop, and streaked naked across campus, and reminisce about with, "Man, remember that? What was that about?"

What do you see out of this offensive line that makes you think that?

(The wideouts and secondary are no treat either but are young enough they theoretically can develop and live up to their recruiting rankings by November.)

Texas defense has been whipping ass. Just physically beating the shit out of Bama.

They never considered intentional grounding, did they?

Very few teams run over everyone to the point of avoiding this type of situation. Compound that with increasing expectations and more media outlets covering more games and talking heads ready with hot takes by the dozen.

Fuck, Texas. Let the clock run.
