    I hereby rescind two things I have recently written in this thread. I rescind and apologize for the remark about True South and the implications therein. I also rescind the presumption that the Texas kicker would choke.

    Texas misses a 20 yard FG early (meaning Bama would have needed a TD) and a sack late (which would have forced Bama to take its last timeout) ... 2 plays man

    If Texas had won, the result would have proven problematic for Alabama once the Horns started losing Big 12 games. But chaos falls short and normalcy prevails.

    Young made the plays Alabama had to have on a day where he had the hell beat out of him for the first 45 minutes. Kudos to him. Otherwise, I do not regard winning by one against a 20-point underdog using an INJURED backup QB as the stuff of greatness or even the stuff of pretty goodness.
