Cougs defense shuts out Wisconsin in the second half, WSU wins 17-14 … despite the gift TD I rambled about earlier.

Big win for Wazzu and their coach, Jake Dickert, a Wisconsin native. Cool moment as he choked up during the postgame interview, then was swarmed on the field by his dad and brothers

 

Anyone else find it unfair that the new playoff format limits the Sun Belt to a maximum of seven bids?

 

Coastal's opponents might be want to be nervous.

 

They are toast for the playoffs! The networks are crying now.

 

That App State game would be the weekend before the anniversary of the plane crash (game on Saturday, anniversary on Monday). Looking at the rest of the schedule for the weekend, the rest of the schedule looks very average (the only game that Saturday between two currently ranked teams is Bama at Ole Miss). Obviously many twists and turns to go but if current results hold, that might be an easy choice.

 

Coastal goes to Charlottesville later this season.
James Madison heads to Louisville in November.
