It is. Myles Garrett blew right past Ekwonu and leveled Mayfield. Bad look.

 

Not ready to quit on Ickey ... IMO, a little unfair less than one game in. But Ben McAdoo, Matt Rhule and Co. need to give Ickey some help. Leaving him out there alone against Myles Garrett is pretty much tossing red meat into the cage of a starving tiger.

There's an idea. Trap blocks. Quick-hitting plays. Stop with the plays needing time and systematic blocking to develop, and let McCaffrey pick a hole of his choosing. Also, quick drop backs and just fire for Mayfield before Garrett plants him into the turf.

McAdoo just switched gears. Had to ... nowhere to go but up. Got a touchdown out of it.

Defense can get work done, but cannot be out there 42-45 minutes every game. That's what killed them last season.
